Qantas was founded in the Queensland outback in 1920. Registered originally as the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS), we have built a reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance, and customer service.

Airbus 380
Qantas have ordered 20 A380 aircraft with options for 4 more, with the first aircraft being delivered in 2008. The purchase of the A380 continues our multi-billion dollar program to provide the most up-to-date and efficient fleet.
Boeing 787
The Boeing 787 has been selected as the cornerstone of our domestic and international fleet renewal program. Under the new fleet plan, the Qantas Group will acquire up to 115 Boeing 787 aircraft.
Boeing 737-800
We are continuing to build our fleet of modern 737-800s, so we can offer you a better product as well as delivering improvements to aircraft utilisation, reliability and on-time performance.
Our 737-800 fleet has now increased to 33, with an additional 5 more to be delivered in 2008.
Bombardier Q400
Qantas took delivery of 7 new turboprop Bombardier Q400 aircraft during 2006, with 2 additional aircraft's to be delivered in 2007. The new aircraft with a 72 seat configuration, mark a new era in regional air travel, with improved passenger comfort, jet-like speed and lower operating costs. At a cost of A$200 million, it represents the largest single investment Qantas has made in its
regional turboprop fleet.
Qantas also has taken options and purchase rights over an additional 12 aircraft to be exercised subject to favourable market conditions and continuing QantasLink efficiency and productivity gains.
Boeing 717-200
QantasLink will be expanding their Boeing 717-200 fleet from eight to 11 aircraft, thereby increasing frequency and capacity on routes in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and North Queensland.
The first of the the three additional 115-seat aircraft will be based in Perth from August 2007. The other two aircraft will commence services from October 2007 on routes yet to be determined.

In-flight Facilities
Assuring the customers comfortable and pleasant flights, Qantas Airway offers various in-flight facilities and services. These include in-flight entertainment, magazine, in-flight meals, in-flight duty free shopping and more.
Booking and Reservations
Flights can be booked online. Changes can be made after confirmation of reservations. The e-tickets are sent to the customers via e-mail and they have to carry the print out of that while checking in.
