KLM Airlines was founded on October 7, 1919, making it the oldest carrier in the world. KLM is a widely recognized brand name throughout the world and has three core businesses: passenger transport, cargo transport, and aircraft maintenance services.

Cabin

KLM Airlines offers Business and Economy classes on its aircraft. On short haul aircraft, Flexible Economy Class is called Europe Select; while on long haul aircraft Business Class is called World Business Class with great accommodation.

Bookings

The KLM booking system offers the possibility to easily book flights to the destination of ones choice and it also checks if the chosen ticket / tickets will be available in the chosen period. Book cheap flights at lowest airfare online.

Check-in

Check-in desks open two hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure for flights within Europe. For international flights, desks open two hours before departure and close one hour before departure. You can also check-in online from 30 hours until one hour before departure. Self-service kiosks are available in most airports and you can also, unusually, check-in by telephone.

Baggage

Carry-on: One carry-on item is allowed, no larger than 22 x 14 x 10in and no heavier than 22lbs as well as a personal item such as a purse, umbrella, blanket etc.

Checked: For flights to Canada and the U.S., two items are allowed each not weighing more than 50lbs and with maximum dimensions of 62 linear in (length + height + width). One bag with a maximum weight of 44lbs is permitted for flights within Europe.

Excess: Rates are high, particularly if traveling to the U.S. (starting at $165 for excess and overweight pieces). For flights within Europe there is a fee of $7 per kg.

Passenger Change Details

Name changes are not allowed. Flight changes depend on ticket type and must be made by calling the reservations number. An administrative fee will apply.

Child Fares

Child fares are available and infants under the age of two travel for 10 per cent of the standard adult rate.
